  1. Friends

The Friends of St Edward's

The Friends of St Edward’s was established with the aim of providing a social forum for parents and relatives of pupils, past and present, staff and friends of the School. The association is run by a Committee of staff and parents, representing each House and Year, who aim to create events and initiatives which promote good relations and co-operation between members and the wider St Edward's community.

'This last year, despite the many lockdowns and disruptions, we have managed to grow the Committee and offered some wonderful events to parents and OSE with the help of the Beyond Teddies Team. We have grown the committee representation in many of the school Houses with the addition of extra parent reps. Our aim is to have two reps per house to support parents in both the lower and upper schools. We have two dedicated parent representatives for international parents and a new OSE rep Jane Featherstone-Witty, as Jules Flory stepped down after 10 great years.

The first Friends' social event of the School year in September will be the Steeplechase which I am sure you all have fond memories of. We are looking forward to welcoming parents on site for the first time in a long time to enjoy afternoon tea whilst supporting their children run.

Families of current and former pupils, OSE and staff are very much a part of the Teddies Friends' community - we're looking forward to seeing you.'

- Jen Walker, Chair of the Friends' Committee

We are always looking for interesting venues, speakers and ideas for events. If you have suggestions - let us know! Email  [email protected] or call +44(0)1865319439.
