Cutteslowe Community Café and Food Larder started in lockdown and supports the community in a variety of ways. The food at the Larder is predominately donated by local supermarkets, and it would otherwise be thrown away to make room for new stock. The surplus food coming to the larder is now being used by those who need it and is no longer going to landfill.

The Café is a free resource and runs alongside the food larder – anyone can drop in for a chat, a cuppa and a piece of cake.

The pupils help in a variety of roles from making hot drinks to signing members in and bagging up and handing out the food. All pupils have fed back and said how much they enjoy mixing with the community and chatting to the locals.
