We are running our next Teddies Talks Live career and networking event, Teddies Talks Media on Tuesday 10th January 2023, 6.30-9pm in central London.


This is a great opportunity for OSE, Teddies Parents, Friends and select Upper Sixth who are working in, or keen to pursue a career in Media, to come together. We will be hearing from a range of speakers throughout the evening, followed by drinks and canapes.

Details of the panellists are outlined below:

Nicola Walton – Writer, broadcaster and author

(Current parent)

Nicola Walton is a writer, broadcaster, author and trustee of a major arts organisation. She recently hosted the "It's the Economy" podcast for Intelligence Squared. ‘Her first book “How to Report Economic News,” was published by Routledge in February 2017. She has also written and presented “Dawn Traders”, a financial news programme on LBC Radio and her features and news articles have appeared in The Independent and Financial Times. For four years she was a visiting lecturer at City University and is a trustee on the patrons’ board of the Ashmolean Museum of Art & Archaeology. She is also an advisor to the Dalai Lama Centre for Compassion, the Oxford-based ethics think- tank.





Mike Vince - TV and Radio Presenter

Mike Vince has spent almost all his working life in Broadcast Media. After 20 years in Local Radio, largely as Sports Editor- also working on News - he has gone on to work for the BBC, ITV, Eurosport and other International TV Channels.

His credits include World Cups, Olympic Games and has been the voice of the Royal Procession on the track at Ascot for nearly 2 decades, a role that has sparked openings on American TV. He is also Track Presenter for the Grand National at Aintree.




Tom Chamberlin – Editor in Chief of The Rake Magazine

(Kendall, 2000-2005)

After university, where he studied Drama, Tom worked in the production team of the X Factor before leaving television to work in publishing. For the past eight years he has been Editor in Chief of The Rake Magazine, one of the leading men’s magazines in the world. 




Miranda Moody – BBC News Producer

(Current parent)

Miranda has worked for the BBC for over 20 years as a producer and programme editor, working on News Programmes including Today, World at One, PM on Radio 4, Newsnight, and more recently Live Political Programmes, including Politics Live and Election Debate and Results programmes. She now works on the 5050 Equality Project which aims to promote diversity in media both in the Workforce and Content.




Dan Kilpatrick - Chief Football Correspondent for The Evening Standard

(Segar’s, 2000-2006)

Dan is the Chief Football Correspondent for The Evening Standard. Dan studied History and Politics at university before completing a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. He worked as a Journalist and Digital Sports Editor for BT Sport and founded the TottenhamWay Podcast before getting the job as Football Correspondent at The Evening Standard, being promoted to the Chief Football Correspondent in 2021.


This is a valuable opportunity for our young OSE and a we would be grateful for OSE and parents who work in media to come along.
